Annual Public Speaking Contest (2009)

Location: École Leila North Community School

On Wednesday, April 29, 2009, the United Nations Association of Canada (Winnipeg Branch) will hold its annual Public Speaking Competition. Open to all students in Manitoba Schools, the competition seeks to improve awareness and understanding of the United Nations through the development of public speaking skills.

The general topic this year is the International Year of Human Rights Learning, and the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
